Philadelphia native, Michael Recchiuti, first saw San Francisco on a road trip with his sister when he was just 16 and swore he’s be back. He began his obsessive quest to make chocolate while working as a pastry chef in restaurants back home. Finally, in 1997, he and wife Jacky, founded Recchiuti Confections in SF with a focus on classic French technique combined with his love of distinctive flavors.
